We are a group of concerned people who have been quickly watching as the liberal base as been scattered across the political spectrum—and for good reason. The Conservative playbook has long been based in “Divide and Conquer,” and they have effectively used the ongoing violence in Palestine to do that at one of the most precarious times in American history.

As outraged as we are at the current administration, Genocide Trump will be far worse than any Genocide Joe. We cannot let them divide us now. We must come together, demand action, unite our liberal brethren, and find a way to show up in November, confident not necessarily in our choice, but in our ability to choose. By demanding Executive action, we are asking that the President make that an easier choice for us all, so that we can avoid the certain chaos and authoritarianism of a Trump presidency.

We have chosen Executive actions which are radical enough for our Progressive beliefs but also, which are realistic requests for the current President, and his otherwise bureaucratic sensibilities. Will this work? We don’t know. Are there more radical actions to be taken? Absolutely. But is there a way to use Executive authority to create a better vision of this country while avoiding a Trump presidency? We believe so.
